Why Coaching?

Bowlers at all levels can benefit from sound and objective advice. It is especially important for new bowlers to obtain good bowls coaching from the outset. Everyone's game will improve with practice but a flawed technique will limit the improvement and create frustration. Improving bowlers will benefit from coaching as they expand their range of shots and the positions that they play. Experienced bowlers beginning to play third (in a fours game) and looking to skip will benefit from understanding how to assess the head and select higher percentage shots. Teams as a whole will benefit from understanding good teamwork and the role each position plays in executing a winning strategy.

Coaching at APBC

At Albert Park Bowls Club we believe in the value of coaching at all levels and the benefit of offering coaching from the outset to joining members who are new to the game. Our Head Coach is Rob Huddle, who has decades of experience both as a player and as a coach. He brings knowledge and enthusiasm and, as the schedule below shows, is available at the club several times a week. Additional insights can be gained by visiting Rob's website at ecoachbowls.com. There are also a number of Club Coaches who are able to assist Rob in developing our improving bowlers.
